I was proud to join Bucks County H.O.G. and Stars & Stripes Harley-Davidson for another incredible Pink Your Ride this past weekend.
A huge thank you to sisters Jaclyn and Therese Bingert and to Margie Zimmerman for their dedication to this meaningful cause. This special ride honors Mia’s memory, supports St. Mary Medical Center, and raises awareness for breast cancer.
Kristen`s breast cancer journey may be behind us, but our advocacy continues to grow stronger. My legislation eliminating out-of-pocket costs for diagnostic breast cancer testing is now law, and I will continue to raise awareness because we know first-hand that early detection saves lives.
Today the Senate passed legislation I was proud to champion, sponsored by @repnataliemihalek, in honor of Jon Gentile, a beloved teacher and outdoor enthusiast who tragically lost his life in 2022 after his kayak overturned by dangers created by low head dams on the Delaware River.
It was an honor to welcome Jon`s family to the Senate floor today. I commend them for turning unimaginable loss into a lasting legacy of awareness and safety for all who enjoy Pennsylvania`s rivers and streams.
The legislation requires owners of the run-of-the-river dams to receive notice outlining safe marking practices to warn the public of the hazards these dams pose.
Proud to help secure funding for important projects throughout @ivylandpa to help ease the burden on local taxpayers while supporting the essential services and infrastructure our residents rely on every day.
🚧 $994, 271 for phrase III of the Greeley Avenue storm sewer extension project
🚶🏼♂️$246,759 for pedestrian safety improvements
🚒 $26,250 for @ivyland_fire_company
Earlier this month Rep. Munroe and I presented checks to Ivyland officials for these 3 projects.
@repmarcell and I were proud to help secure funding for an ADA-accessible walking path on @middle_bucks.
The campus lacked a continuous pedestrian route and required residents and students to travel by vehicle or cross informal, unsafe paths. These improvements will enhance pedestrian safety, reduce congestion by encouraging walking/biking to campus, and promote recreational opportunities within the area.
I am proud to have secured $50,000 in state funding for Warminster VFW Post 6493. The investment will be used for building improvements that will provide a more welcoming environment for their members and their families. I will always support the men and women who have served our country and ensure our local veteran organizations have the resources they need to continue their important work in our community.
Last weekend was filled with great community events in the 6th Senatorial district.
👩🏾🚒It was great to stop by our local fire prevention events, including Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company, Warwick Township Fire Company No. 1, Northampton Township Fire Department, Lingohocken Fire Company, and Lower Southampton Fire Department No.1.
🚒At Lingohocken Fire Company`s Fire Prevention Event, @repmarcell and I presented a check for $1,000,000 for a new fire engine set to arrive this summer. Wrightstown Township.
🥊Celebrated 30 years with Joe Hand Gym. I was proud to present him with a Senate citation for this incredible milestone.
