Farry and Hogan Announce Lower Southampton Township Traffic Signal Improvement Funding

HARRISBURG – Sen. Frank Farry (R-6) and Rep. Joe Hogan announced the approval of a $662,355 state grant to increase safety for pedestrians and motorists.

The project will upgrade traffic signal equipment at multiple intersections along Bustleton Pike and Bristol Road in Lower Southampton Township.

“Investing in traffic signal upgrades through the Green Light-Go program is a critical step toward improving safety and efficiency for both drivers and pedestrians in our community,” said Farry. “This funding will help Lower Southampton Township modernize intersections and enhance overall traffic flow.”

“I want to again thank Sen. Farry for working together to secure this major investment,” said Hogan. “Residents in our community are getting safer and more efficient roads without the burden falling on local taxpayers.”

The grants are provided through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Green Light-Go program. Established by the General Assembly in 2013, Green Light-Go is a competitive state grant program designed to improve traffic signal efficiency and operation in communities across Pennsylvania.
