Farry: Community Conservation Grant Applications Now Available

HARRISBURG – Applications are now being accepted for the Community Conservation Partnerships Program Grants to assist communities and nonprofits with planning, developing and conserving recreation, park and trail facilities, according to Sen. Frank Farry (R-6).

“Outdoor recreation and nature conservation are imperative to our community,” Farry said. “These grants provide the necessary funding to maintain and improve our local recreational areas, and I strongly encourage eligible organizations to apply.”

The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) provides grants to counties, municipalities and municipal agencies, pre-qualified land trusts, nonprofits and other eligible organizations with funding related to parks, recreation and conservation. The DCNR Recreation and Conservation grant program is funded with a variety of state and federal funding sources including Pennsylvania’s natural gas impact fee.

Applications will be accepted through April 5th.
