Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Improvement Scheduled at Night Next Week on Interstate 95 South in Bensalem Township

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) construction will occur at night next week on southbound I-95 in Bensalem Township, Bucks County.

Drivers are advised of the following travel restriction:

• Monday October 12, through Saturday, October 17, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a left lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Bristol Pike/Street Road (Exit 37) and Woodhaven Road (Exit 35) interchanges.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Shoulder Repair to Close Old Lincoln Highway in Bensalem Township

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that shoulder repair will close Old Lincoln Highway in Bensalem Township, Bucks County.

Weather permitting, drivers are advised of the following travel restriction:

• Tuesday, October 13, and Wednesday, October 14, from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Old Lincoln Highway will be closed and detoured between Business U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway) and Bristol Road. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway) and Rockhill Road.

Local access will be maintained at all times. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area or along the detour route because backups and delays may occur.

Resurfacing Operations on State Highway in Middletown Township

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that resurfacing operations are planned next week on a state highway in Middletown Township under an ongoing contract to repair, resurface, and improve more than 240 miles of state highways across the five-county region.

Weather permitting, drivers are advised of the following travel restrictions:

Middletown Township

• Monday, October 12, through Friday, October 16, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Woodbourne Road between Cobalt Ridge Drive and Big Oak Road in Middletown Township for paving.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
