Pipe Replacement to Close Bristol Oxford Valley Road in Middletown Township

PennDOT announced that pipe replacement will close Bristol Oxford Valley Road in Middletown Township, Bucks County, beginning on Friday, May 8.

Drivers are advised of the following travel restriction:

• Friday, May 8, through Wednesday, May 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Bristol Oxford Valley Road will be closed and detoured weekdays between Woodbourne Road and New Falls Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Woodbourne Road and New Falls Road.

Local access will be maintained at all times. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

PA Turnpike Bridge Repair to Close Northbound Old Lincoln Highway Weeknights in Bensalem Township

 PennDOT announced that the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will perform weeknight bridge repair on northbound Old Lincoln Highway in Bensalem Township, Bucks County.

 Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

• Monday, May 11, through Monday, May 25, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, northbound Old Lincoln Highway will be closed and detoured weeknights approaching the Interstate 276 overpass.

During the closure, drivers traveling westbound Route 132 (Street Road) will be directed to use Richlieu Road and Rockhill Drive. Drivers using northbound Old Lincoln Highway will be directed to use Route 132 (Street Road), Rockhill Drive, and U.S. 1 (Lincoln Highway).

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area or along the detour routes because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Line Striping Planned at Night Next Week on U.S. 1 at Interstate 295 in Bucks County

PennDOT announced that line striping will begin at night next week on U.S. 1 below I-295 in Middletown Township, Bucks County, under a $56.1 million project to perform high-priority repairs on interstate bridges, to maintain the functionality, safety, and mobility of the structures along critical corridors.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

• Monday, May 11, through Friday, May 15, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, lane closures will be in place on U.S. 1 in both directions approaching the I-295 Interchange.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under this contract, PennDOT’s contractor will make repairs to the deteriorated bridge decks, superstructure components, and portions of the substructures as needed.
