The PFC George Raymond Huntzinger Memorial Bridge (Brownsville Rd.) is Now Open

Ariel View of Bridge Opening Ceremony with Senator Farry at a podium surrounded by local officials, first responders, and community members. Two fire trucks displaying an American flag are behind him.

I am pleased to announce the Brownsville Road Bridge over Neshaminy Creek connecting Middletown and Lower Southampton townships reopened five months ahead of schedule and a $1 million less cost to taxpayers.

Prior to the reopening this past Thursday, I joined Rep. Hogan, Matt Allen, Bucks County Veterans Affairs, Ed Preston, chairman PA Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, Din Abazi, P.E., District Executive PennDOT, Kevin Loftus, President & CEO, Loftus Construction, local veterans and community members for a rededication ceremony in honor of PFC George Raymond Huntzinger, who gave his life during the Vietnam War. The bridge was originally dedicated in August 2023 before PennDOT began construction to replace the bridge in spring 2025.

Huntzinger, a Langhorne resident, began his tour of duty with the US army on September 11, 1969, and less than two months later on October 29th he tragically lost his life on October while dismantling a landmine in Vietnam. PFC Huntzinger will forever be remembered and honored in our community.

Dax’s 6th Birthday

Senator Farry stands next to Michael and Karen Babcock in a parking lot in front of a truck.

I was grateful to attend Dax’s Day to celebrate and honor Dax Babcock’s 6th Birthday.

After the Babcock family lost Dax at age 2 in a tragic accident, they created the Dax Pact to honor his memory and engage others to live big and love hard just like Dax.

Their foundation is doing remarkable work in Dax’s memory by investing in public parks, donating toy cars and trucks to kids in need, and providing annual scholarships to local daycares and camps.

2026 Woods Services Humanitarian Award

Senator Farry holds a citation next to Kimberly holding an award and two Woods System of Care Executives.

I was proud to honor Kimberly Permar, Executive Director of Bucks County Health Improvement Partnership (BCHIP), with a Pennsylvania Senate citation for being named the 2026 Woods Humanitarian at Woods System of Care Run earlier this month.

Kim’s advocacy on behalf of Woods System of Care projects has increased access to mental health services and attainable housing across Bucks County. This award is a testament to her dedication as she truly exemplifies the spirit of community.

Kimberly and I are pictured here with Woods System of Care President and CEO Tine Hansen-Turton and Woods System of Care Senior Executive VP/Chief Legal and Governance Officer Simon Kimmelman.

BAPS Charities Spirit of Service Walk/Runs

Senator Farry stands at a podium with a BAPS Charities sign and several people in background with running bibs attached to the front of their matching polo shirts.
I was proud to join two BAPS Charities Spirit of Service Walk-Runs during the last weekend of May.

I was proud to join two BAPS Charities Spirit of Service Walk-Runs during the last weekend of May.

The first event was held at Falls Township Community Park supporting the Middletown Community Foundation. The next morning, Lions Pride Park in Warrington hosted the event benefiting the Warrington Township Police Department Shop with a Cop program.

BAPS Charities does an incredible job bringing people together through service and support for local communities. Thank you to everyone who walked, ran, volunteered, and contributed to these great causes.
