In this Update:
Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce Celebrates 80 YearsI was pleased to celebrate Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce’s 80th Anniversary alongside so many of its members and my colleagues. Established in 1946, the Chamber represents 1,500 businesses and offers a wide range of events and programs each year to support growth and develop strong leaders. I was also proud to present a citation from the Senate of Pennsylvania to the Putman family in recognition of their many years of service to the Chamber and the Central Bucks community. David Putman and Kevin Putman Jr. accepted on behalf of the family for this well-deserved recognition. Southampton Fire Co. Annual BanquetI was proud to join Southampton Fire Company No. 1 for their annual banquet recognizing the men and women who volunteer so much of their time serving our community, always the ones running towards the danger when others run away. I was honored to present citations from the Senate of Pennsylvania for this year’s honorees.
Congratulations to the honorees and thank you to the entire department for your commitment and dedication in protecting our community. Kamp for Kids Youth CenterI joined my colleagues and community members for Kamp for Kids ribbon cutting for their new Youth Center at the Neshaminy Mall. Kamp for Kids is a non-profit creating safe, inclusive spaces for kids, youth, and teens of all abilities to grow, connect, and thrive. Their new space focuses on inclusion, connection, and opportunity for children with autism and other developmental needs. I am proud to support the local organizations working every day to build stronger, more inclusive communities. Find out more about Kamp for Kids. Week of the Young Child School VisitI had a great visit at Celebree School of Warrington celebrating the Week of the Young Child. The Week of the Young Child is a special time each year when we celebrate young children, their families, and the incredible early educators who support them every day. During my visit, I spent time in their classrooms, engaging with the students and seeing firsthand the meaningful work happening within their school and the positive impact it has on our children, families, and community. 2026 Teen Driver Safety Video PSA ChallengeTMA Bucks is proud to present the entries for this school year’s Teen Driver Safety Video PSA Challenge powered by Comcast. All area high schools had the opportunity this year to produce and submit a 30-second video public service announcement on any aspect of teen driver safety as part of TMA Bucks’ annual Bucks County High School Seatbelt Safety Challenge presented by NJM Insurance Group. Watch the teen driver safety videos here. The winning video, which will be announced later this spring, will be selected after all participating Seatbelt Challenge schools take part in the voting process. The school voted as the winner will get a $500 cash grant and their video will play on Comcast networking. Public Safety Telecommunicators WeekLast week, I shared my appreciation for public safety telecommunicators. I was proud to drop off on behalf of myself and state reps. Hogan, Labs, Marcell, Tomlinson and Staats, several baked good trays from Styer Orchards to the Bucks 911 Center and thank them in person. This week in Harrisburg, I introduced Senate Resolution 275, recognizing the week of April 12 through 18, 2026, as “National Public Safety Telecommunications Week” in Pennsylvania. These incredible men and women behind the scenes answering the calls are the first line of communication in emergency situations. As a first responder, they are often our lifeline as well. Watch my remarks on the Senate floor here. Our Shredding Event at Warminster Community Park is TomorrowTomorrow, April 25 from 10am to noon, Rep.
