Northampton Bucks County Municipal Authority-NBCMA to Close Route 532 (Buck Road) Next Week

PennDOT announced that Northampton, Bucks County Municipal Authority will perform utility construction on Route 532 (Buck Road) in Northampton Township beginning Monday, September 15.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

Monday, September 15, through Wednesday, November 26, Route 532 (Buck Road) will be closed 24/7 between Old Bristol Road and Chinquapin Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Old Bristol Road, Route 213 (Bridge Town Pike), Route 132 (Street Road), Churchville Road, Bristol Road, Churchville Lane, and Holland Road.

Local access will be maintained. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Northampton, Bucks County Municipal Authority will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

Resurfacing Operations Planned Next Week on Edgley Rd

PennDOT announced that resurfacing operations will occur next week on Edgely Rd. in Bristol and Middletown Townships.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction

Monday, September 15, through Friday, September 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Edgely Road between Cobalt Ridge Drive and U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) in Bristol and Middletown townships for paving and utility construction.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
