Recognized by Bucks County EMS Chief’s AssociationI am honored to have been recognized by the Bucks County EMS Chiefs’ Association with its Distinguished Service & Support Award at their inaugural awards banquet this past Thursday. It was great to see so many EMS professionals from throughout Bucks County recognized for their exceptional service and dedication. Supporting our EMS professionals has always been a priority of mine, both here in our community and in Harrisburg. I remain committed to championing the dedicated men and women who serve on the front lines and ensuring they have the resources and support they need. Supporting Our Seniors
Protecting our seniors from financial abuse and scams has also been a priority. The Senate passed legislation to update Pennsylvania’s Older Adult Protective Services Act to better protect seniors from financial abuse and scams. The FBI ranked Pennsylvania ninth in total losses to fraud experienced by older adults in 2025. More than 7,000 seniors were defrauded of more than $200 million, representing a 43% jump from 2024. Senate Bill 738 would require financial institutions to report suspected cases of elder financial abuse and empower the institutions to hold suspicious financial transactions. The institution would have to report this transaction to the appropriate AAA. Similar legislation has been passed in more than 20 states and has been used as an effective tool to prevent fraud. I’m also proud to have secured funding alongside Rep. Marcell and Rep. Hogan for senior centers throughout the 6th Senatorial District to support the programs, services and resources our older residents rely on to stay active, connected and engaged in our communities. Recognizing Lt. Deluca’s 30 Years of Service to Warminster TownshipI was honored to recognize Lieutenant Ron DeLuca upon his retirement from the Warminster Police Department by presenting him with a citation from the Pennsylvania Senate in recognition of his 30 years of dedicated service protecting and serving our community. Before beginning his career in law enforcement, Lt. DeLuca proudly served our country in the U.S. Army as a military police officer, earning an honorable discharge at the rank of sergeant. We are grateful for his decades of service, both to our country and our community. Congratulations to Lt. DeLuca on a well-deserved retirement. Wishing him all the best in this next chapter. Engaging with the Business Community
I was also proud to share the exciting news that a nationally recognized, fourth generation family-owned company has chosen to bring their company to Bucks County, bringing its corporate operations and 250 manufacturing jobs to Bensalem. This is a tremendous opportunity for Bensalem and our region, creating new jobs and strengthening our local economy. I’m proud to have worked with the company’s owner, helping coordinate efforts making Pennsylvania and Bucks County a competitive choice for this investment. While the company continues coordinating its plans and employee needs, details are being withheld to respect the company’s communication plans as discussions continue. Thank you to Christ’s Home for welcoming us and to the Chamber for continuing to bring people together for meaningful conversations. Happy 20th Anniversary Philly Pretzel Factory-LanghorneHappy 20th Anniversary to Philly Pretzel Factory in Langhorne. Rep. Hogan and I were in Harrisburg when they celebrated this special milestone with the community last month, but we were happy to stop by last week and present citations from the Senate of PA and PA House of Representatives recognizing their 20 years in business. Congratulations to the Kean families on a fantastic 20 years of service and thank you for being such a wonderful community partner. Wishing you many more years of success. |
