Resurfacing Operations Planned Next Week on State Highway in Bensalem

PennDOT announced that resurfacing operations are planned next week on Hulmeville Rd. in Bensalem. Drivers are advised of the following travel restrictions:

• Monday, August 17, through Friday, August 21, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure with flagging will be in place on Route 513 (Hulmeville Road) between Route 132 (Street Road) and Galloway Road in Bensalem Township for paving.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.

Aqua Pennsylvania Utility Installation to Close Brownsville Road Weekdays in Bensalem

PennDOT announced that Aqua Pennsylvania will perform utility installation on Brownsville Road in Bensalem Township, beginning on Monday, August 17.

Drivers are advised of the following travel restriction:

• Monday, August 17, through Friday, October 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Brownsville Road will be closed and detoured weekdays between Carver Avenue and Dara Faith Drive. During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Old Street Road, Route 132 (Street Road), Route 532 (Bustleton Pike), Route 213 (Bridgetown Pike), and Bristol Road.

Local access will be maintained. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area or through the detour route because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
